Buying a used viper...whats the differences between the 02, 03's?

I'm interested in buying a Viper ER. I have found a few 02's that i'm interested in at the moment. I was just wondering what the differences and updates are between 2002-2003 ER's. Suspension, motor, clutch, chaincase, shocks, track??? Just wondering because the 02 is the first year sled, so not sure if i should stay away from them. Any input much appreciated. Thanks, Cory.

I think the only difference was the shock & spring up-date but I could be wrong?

Don't be afraid of a first year Viper.Mine has just under 20,000 klm's,motor never touched and still runs pretty strong.I had the updated shocks put on but I went back the originals as I think it handled better.

All the above: track, seat, hood, shock update. add the gauge pod wire protector that is on the 04. It seals the connector in the gauge pod better and limits the foged gauge.
