stock gears are 23/38 in your srx, its a 13 wide hyvo chain. I think its 1" 15 spline from memory but dont take that to the bank without checking.
what are you trying to achieve?

thinking of gearing down one tooth on top and I was just trying to figure out if the sled is over geared like my mxz. I geared it down and got as much and a little more top end. and was wondering if my srx is the same?

from what i've read on posts on here, unless your doing some kind of specialized riding (for lack of a better term) such as racing or speed running the stock gearing is pretty decent. I could be wrong here so others will chime in, just what ive read on here is all

I´ve geared down my -99 2 teeth on the upper and will never go back
Note that I ride in Sweden where we don´t have any real "highways" like you guys over there!
But I think it works much better and the clutch runs cooler.
It´s right with the 1" 15 splines.

it comes down to your riding type, set your machine up for the riding you do 90% of the time, and just deal with the other 10%, if you ride tighter woods with alot of turns and bumps dropping a tooth on top is a good thing, if your riding wide open lakes/rivers and groomed trails stock is better.
Im looking to be fast on hard pack on the lakes even on some softer stuff but all for the lake, any suggestions for gearing?
