340 srx pistons and rings

what other pistons and rings have you guys used with the factory chrome? I cant find anything for a chrome bore?

i have 1 srx 340 NOS piston for sale, also 2 NOS rings , two headgasket sets and one pair of cylheads-almost in new condition for sal..all 320 dollars incl freight!..

So swapping in from a GPX won't work? Wrist pin is the same. Is there a ring issue (with chrome bore)? Mine were sleeved when I got it, so I figured GPX slugs & rings would be the way to go.

Yes the rings are the trouble, I need a soft iron ring to run in the chrome. Wiesco has 200 rings but no pistons.

Just a reminder from a post on VS.

"You read it right, any ring will work in a cast iron bore. Also any ring will work in a nicasil bore. And we all know chrome rings will not work in a chrome bore. This isn't just hearsay, I've been building engines for over 30 years. Rings and cylinder types aren't matched so that one can wear into another. They are matched to peacefully coexist."
