I was cleaning up in the attic, found this cardboard tube, looked inside and it's the Exciter SX poster from 93' that I had on my office wall.
First Exciter SX owner to respond gets it.............................

I remember back when, I had a piped, clutched etc. 93 Exciter SX. Pretty nice sled back then as was easy to get around the trail and put a whoopin on the other bigger hp sleds. I sometimes miss that sled.
Who ever you give that to, should be a great addition to any wall.

Ace was the first SX owner to respond, PM me your info Ace.
Didn't think it would take that long.................
Overheating? did you check the tension on the water pump belt? I wouldn't run it without a thermo unless you know you're gonna warm it up every time.

I've check the water pump belt a couple of times and even tightened it up some. I just doesn't make sense to me why there isn't water pumping when the system is full. The rear heat exchanger is cold to the touch and covered with snow when the head is at 300 F. I know the thermostat is working because it is still open when i take every apart again.

To clarify what 800 said, there are air bleed screw(s) under the seat at the rear, in case you didn't know.

I've done that twice now. Guess it wouldn't hurt to bleed it some more.
