Well, after rebuilding just about my complete Viper and struggling with cooling problems, I decided to buy a new Yamaha 4 Stroke. I just bought a new 07 Rage GT.

I would like to thank the following TY members for all of their help and support over the past couple years. This continues to be the best snowmobile site on the Net.

As much as I hate to, I will be parting out my Viper. I hope to list the parts I am going to sell in the next week or so. Thanks again to all. G.B.

Curious to know what you did to rebuild? You have any idea what the cooling trouble is related too? XC

Here are a couple posts on what I have been up to over the past 6 months. I believe my cooling issues are due to the water/oil pump drive gear spinning on the crank shaft. I won't no for sure until I get the motor back apart. Thanks, G.B.

After all that I don't think I could part it out, I would have to fix and ride it myself. Maybe wait a little bit and just ride the new one and go back to the Viper in a little while. My 02. You would most likely make up the money spent parting it out though if that is what you decide. XC

It was a tough decision with all of the work I did, but I enjoyed it up to when I could'nt figure out the cooling issue and I learned a lot. I need the money to offset my new sled so it has to go. G.B.

Thanks daman! I will still be around. When I get my lift back from my friend who is putting his AC F6 back together (jack shaft broke and took out both clutches at 3,200 miles), I will pull my Viper motor and take it a part to see if I can figure out what the issue was. The Viper will have to go to help pay for the 4 stroke. Think snow! G.B.

Good luck with the new sled, I'm sure it will rip on the snow.
There is no real side, 2 stroke or 4 stroke, it is...TotallYamaha.

viper7mi,

I know, you are right. My thread title just sounded more dramatic that way. G.B.
