Here is what I know:
'02 Viper totally stock
4500 miles
well maintained, except after last ride in spring, I just parked it, no summerizing (long story why)
It starts, and will idle with choke on. After cracking throttle past 1/4 it runs just fine, but low end, it misses and will not idle.
I removed carbs, and someone who knew what they were doing, cleaned them thoroughly. After reinstalling them, it runs marginally better. Plugs do not indicate a lean situation, but all I have done is buzz around the yard. I also cleaned the powervalves.
I am not sure what to do at this point...Anyone? Help!!!

Pilot jets can be a PIA to get clean. Just spraying carb cleaner and air through them doesn't always get the job done due to their small size. Your friend that knows what he's doing needs to hold them up to a light and make sure light can be seen through them, should be a nice round hole. I've used wire cut off a wire brush, and others have used wire out of a bread tie, to run into the jet and get the gunk out. Be careful whatever you use, as people have accidently reamed them out using welding tip cleaners, etc.
Most of us have "cleaned" the carbs only to find out we still have plugged pilots, very easy to do. At least the first time anyway.
