How can you tell if your ski shock springs are worn out. When I raise my sled off the ground I can only go down to 5" on my spring length before the retainers start to become loose. Book says I should be able to go down to 4.65"? When I set the sled back down, the spring seems to be fairly compressed. Shocks were just rebuilt last year. I'm looking for a way to bring the front end back up to improve my handling. If I tighten the spring preload up to improve the height the sled darts like crazy. When the spring is looser the sled doesn't dart alot, but seems like there is still alot of pressure on the front end. Just Wondering if 7000 miles on springs is too much?

Try letting your limiter straps out a bit.
