My SRX takes alot of pulls to start at cold weather, when it starts it runs on two cylinders. After it warms up it finally starts running on all three cylinders. I put in new plugs and its still runs that way. I use IPone strawberry flavoured oil, I use to be able to smell it but now all I smell is fuel. I clean the carbs and made it 1 1/2 turns for the fuel screw. One of the fuel screws was missing the little washer and o-ring, I wander if thats the problem. I bought it second hand and they we're missing already. I tried adjusting it the same as the other two fuel screws with the washers and o-rings. At the exhaust it leaves black on the snow.

1.) you say you cleaned the carbs, did you also verify the float level?
2.)you need to replace the fuel screw missing parts, it will never be good without the o-ring on there.
3.) is the choke freeplay adjusted correctly? how much is there?
4.)have you checked the oilpump cable adjustment?

Ski you have to be the farthest north of anybody on here.I saw your name on the guest map holymoly there is nothing up there but eskimos and deerflys.

i did check the specs for the floats, they are good. the choke is adjusted at around .7mm. The oil is adjusted at 23mm, throttle at 1.5mm. Got the specs from daman because mine didnt come with a manual. must be the o-ring and washer that i'm missing. that must be the other reason for the black stains left in the snow during idle. Thanks Mrviper

No theres not many eskimo's here, our population is just over 250.
