Does anyone know where I can purchase brackets to raise my suspension on an 02' Viper? I thought that I saw something about just adding some brackets to raise the rear suspension on the Viper.

Well I measured everything up last night and made some custom 3" brackets today. I made them so that I only have to drill out 1 rivet on each side and can put it back to stock if needed. I made them up today and installed tonight, looks great and the suspension seems to travel properly. I will let you know when the snow hits if it hooks as hard and how tippy it feels. I was very happy at how the brackets turned out and the final look, Yamaha should have caught onto this years ago... looks like a real intimidating machine now!

How did those drop brackets work out for you? I´m very interested in how you did them. Pics would be nice!
Sorry guys, wanted to try it out before posting. Also I am waiting for some more stainless hardware to finish it off, I will be adding one more 10mm bolt to each side to prevent shifting ( directly above the original location on the rear shaft), I don't like the idea of rivets.
I will post after a trail run to let you know how it rides...must admit, looks sexy now!

This is why most people that make parts don't like to put up PIC's.
I fully understand that, but I didn't want to wait and I wanted to modify it so that, if needed, I could reverse it and make it stock again. The original design is brilliant but not for me, I was nervious enough just drilling a couple of holes, I could'nt have done this on a new machine.

Same for me, I wanted to be able to easily change back to stock, keeping the old brackets in place and using only bolts. I also wasn't sure if I wanted them on my viper or not, so I spent a saturday afternoon desgining my own kind of bracket.
2000srx - just my $0.02, The ones you have now look great but I think you guys should look into making another version that allows you to keep the stock brackets in place and is easy to change back to stock if you want to sell the sled or for any other reason. I think alot of people are on the fence about these brackets like I was, they want to try them out and like the looks but don't want to drill into their tunnels too much and then not being able to change it back easily if they decide they don't like them.
I agree, the ones that I made use the original brackets, if you look closely you will notice that I didn't have to drill out the originals.
How is the ride on this machine now. Does it feel top heavy at all.
Thanks

you didnt invent these by any means, not like any of these parts have a patent on them and the parts have been copied from somewhere else anyways. So if someone else can make the part better to suit them so be it.
