I have a '93 Exicter II 570 twin with round slide carbs. I recently took them apart to clean them and look them over as the sled is new to me and the previous owner didn't maintain them all to well.
They have some sort of electronic solenoid on them next to the air/pilot screws. I am not sure what they are or what they do. The solenoid extends into the venturi where it looks like a plactic rod extends and retracts into and out of the venturi. Anyone know what this is?
Also, the tech info on the belt guard says the air/pilot screws should be turned out only 5/8 of a turn. Just about every sled or 2-cycle carb I have ever worked on the air/pilot screws are ususally set at 1-1/2 to 2 turns out. Is the info on the belt guard right?
Any help would be very much appreciated.
Thanks,
Mills

The 5/8 of a turn is correct. Not sure about your other question.
