i have a 98 600 venture, run goon in the mid and top end just a real dog on the bottom. if any body has any ideas let me know...

what do you mean when you hit the throttle or if your going slow need more info

Check your idle mixture screws should be about 1 1/4 turns out.

Give the carbs a good cleaning. reed spacers will really help the throttle response.

my thought
It seems like the clutch is engaging way to early, the belt is new, and i can smell the belt slipping. idle is around 1500rpms or so.

have you clutched this sled? stock clutching was not really great on the 600 motors. there are some good set-ups in the tec pages.
