I have gone to the mountains 4 times this year with my sxviper mtn which i purchased this year. The first time i went up it ran great in the parking lot and the lower altituted but as i went up the switch backs of the mountain my sled began to lose power. As though when i hit the throttle there was no throttle response, it just seemed to bog out and run poorly. After the first couple trips and the same thing happening on the first two trips i had the clitching worked on yet still same problem. The snowmobile does have an atacc system on it so i didn't bother worrying about the jetting but i have a feeling the attac system is not working......not sure what to do, is there a way of knowing what may have gone wrong with the attac system or?? any ideas

I have the came set-up, sound to me like your too rich
I had to send in the Atacc to have it recalibrated, then it worked fine.
I think they are pretty touchy with pipes? or are you stock?
what mods?

Yeah my sled just has a mbrp can on it that is it.
I think my attac system isn't working because we even reclutched the sled
and it was still running poorly so i think i might go to a vari flow or how much about does it cost to send the attac system in to have it recalibrated?

Stick with the Attac. No problems with my MNT Viper(04) or my buddy's (03)-both with pipes Attac and mine with motor mods. Check where calibration screw is at in the Attac for temperature and/or jet down more.
thanks for the advice. So like my sled is bogging like say i am going 50km/h and i open up the throttle there is no snap, it just bogs and gains speed slowly. So the difference from bogging to running great could be because my attac is not calibrated properly?

Snakebit,
I also have the CPR Simmons pipes that I ceramic coated. I'm running 160 main jets across right now ( I may be a tad lean as my DCS light come one for a bit when I'm doing a hard run across the fields-but I have only put on maybe 70 miles in 2 rides. The previous owner topped the tank off with C14 when I picked it up and I have only put in 5 gallons of 92 octane fuel-so maybe its just old fuel still- going to look at pistons and maybe jet up a bit to be safe), needles dropped one notch, factory pilots (45's I believe).
The Atacc is at factory setting of -29 deg. Celcius (-20F). I was going to reset temperature to -20C but my buddy who is the Yamaha dealer said he has never had to set it-just leave alone and go. Our elevation @ home is 1800-1900ft, but going to the mountains up to 8500ft. I have not been to the mountains yet with this sled as I bought it in September. The fellow bought a new Nytro MNT. He had NOS and a small auxillary fuel pump/tank that used C14 fuel when on the NOS. I told him to remove it all and he reinstalled the Ataac system back on he ran before the NOS/C14 setup.
Hope this helps
