I'm a first time Yammi owner i have a 98 srx with v force reeds, dg silencer, cold air modded air box, and a bender clutch kit this was all on the sled when i baught it. What should i be running for main jets? Right now i am running 148.8,146.3,146.3 does that sound right?
what is stock jetting for the 98?
also i heard that the cold air kit isnt the greatest idea...is this true?
if anyone can shed some light on the subject it would be greatly appreciated.
thanks

Air box mod is not the best and neither is that silencer you have. Great sled and can run fast and strong. I am also from Sudbury....well Val Therese that is.

Stock silencer is better...and clutch kits usually dont work the best. You need to know what you are throwing in the clutches to tune.

the cold air kit is ok as long as you have the shelf left in the air box. the stock muffler will make a little more power and your jetting is stock for a 98 you could probally go 1 or 2 sizes larger for the cold air kit to be safer.

What do you mean by the shelf in the airbox?9801srx said:the cold air kit is ok as long as you have the shelf left in the air box. the stock muffler will make a little more power and your jetting is stock for a 98 you could probally go 1 or 2 sizes larger for the cold air kit to be safer.
