I am looking for a little input on my new ride, 02' Viper. I don't know the history of this machine at all so I am hoping someone can help. I'm not sure if it has been modified for more power, I was looking at the carbs and noticed spacers that look like aftermarket Reed spacers (about 1/4" aluminum), is this stock for the Yamaha Vipers? Also, I am wondering if my machine has been clutched, it engages at around 5000 RPM, seems pretty high to me, I'm not complaining, it hits hard and I get some pretty good lift at the skis when I raced my brothers Ski-Doo MXZ 700 (clutched and Carbon Reeds with spacers)...we were tied when we ran out of field.

Someone has added reed spacer to it. Helps the throttle response. Mine used to engage around 4800 too, but it was not stock clutching. Maxdlx

stock clutching should egage at 4200 also the spacer were added for better throttle response and to help low speed boggle

Thanks, I thought that it's been modified, more than likely the previous owner would have put carbon reeds along with the spacers.
