Ok, I have a '02 Viper w/hauck pipes (the ones made by aaens). I am currently having some clutching issues. Right off the line if you pin it, it will run up to 8900 (too low) and then climb to 9300-9400 after 1 second. If you are going like 30-40 mph and then drop the hammer, it will go like hell and pull up to 9200-9400, but only run at that until any between 95-106 mph on the dream-o-meter, and then the rpms start to drop down to 8500 and so does the mph. It currently has the Hauck #4 clutch kit, which involves a orange primary spring w/shim, green secondary spring @60 deg twist, helix (doesn't say the angles), overdrive sheave, and 8dn10 weights (I don't know how many grams in the tip or center----center is a rivet and the tip is a bolt). Does anyone have a very good setup for me? I'm talking anything, from changing the rollers, primary spring, secondary spring, helix, weights, you name it. I am just sick of monkeying around with this hauck setup. I just want a good setup for my piped viper. Oh yeah, I need to run 9200-9300 on the tach with these pipes. Any help is greatly appreciated.

whats the code on the helix? your sled is overshifting, in other words the clutchs are getting ahead of the motors power curve.

I had gotten a Hauck Clutch kit with my AAEN pipes through Hauck, and I think the kit they gave me was junk. I'm in the same boat with my Venom, but have a new good starting point. Sorry for the off topic, but I had seen you had a Hauck kit you didn't like also.

the hauck helix will be stamped with a letter, hopefully its one I have checked before and i will be able to better guide you to a better set up, but we need the code first.

mrviper700, it looks like the helix has a "V" stamped on it. Is that one that you have delt with in the past? You know the angle of this helix? Also, should I get rid of the overdrive sheave and put the stock sheave back on?
