srx silencer(pipes) options and opinions everyone welcome
Hi me again
I am in the process of doing the top end of my 2001 SRX and when I removed the silencer I didnt realize that thing was so big and heavy so I figure that I will upgrade to an aftermarket one if they are recommended.
I would like to shed some pounds and possibly pick up a different tone I dont really want louder like real loud I definatley dont want Ive gone that way before and it gets old fast especially hung over not good
and while on the subject if there is a set of pipes/can combo that can give stock like reliability then I would consider that route I am not right up on the Yamaha aftermarket world in what works and what doesnt and who the reputable aftermarket companies are I would apprecite any input
Thanx in advance![2strokes :2strokes: :2strokes:](https://totallyamaha.net/images/smilies/2strokes.gif)

Pick up a Bender silencer. They are about the only ones that don't lose hp, you'll save some weight, and they sound great.
Unless you can find a used set of Power Inc. pipes for an srx for a very good deal (they are the only aftermarket pipes that actually build power), don't bother with pipes. The stock pipes work extremely well.

If I remember correctly, the power inc. canister lost a few hp. My advice is that if you are going to get one, get a Bender.
