I put my 1997 vmax 600 away in the trailer at the end of last year, i ran it out of gas b4 i did not meaning to i didint have gas at the time so i just left it and forgot about it untill i opend the trailer door this year. i put about 3 gallons of premium in it b4 I tryed to start it, seems like its not pumping gas up in the lines? is there a trick to getting the fuel, dose it need to be primed in some sorta way?, the fuel pump should bring it right? do you think the carbs are all gumed up from not haveing fuel in it all summer? let me no thanks.

try pulling the spark plugs and dumping some pre-mix in each cyl, then start, you may have to do this like 3-4 time's till the F/P prim's but should get ya going.

i would pull the carbs and clean 'em good, you didn't hurt nothing...
I second Daman...I would never ever start A SLED until I CLEAN them CARBS...read everyones post lately...too many burn downs this year, not all start up related...but most are...after carbs clean & set, then pressurize the tank (not too much air press.) & squirt some (pre mix) down the cylinders...viola she fires right up & purrrrrrrrrrrrs...cheers

I usually disconnect the fuel hose at the high point barbed thing (by the dash, but under the hood), put a small funnel in the hose and pour in some premix. This fills the lines and gets it running w/i a few pulls for the first start of the year (I also drain oput my carbs at the season's end). No problems ever...

You didn't hurt anything but you may have a little water in the bottom of the tank from all the condensation not enough to hurt anything most likely.
I would definetly pull and clean the carbs.
I pull it a little and have somone watch the fuel lines with the ignition OFF! Then when it appears to only have a few bubbles hit the ignition and it will usualy start then or require a couple pulls.
