A friend of mine just bought a Mtn Viper with Bender triples. He doesn't have any manuals or info on jetting the sled. Does anyone have this info that could email it to me? He rides at a bunch of different altitudes and wants to jet it right.

Thanks,
Lance

The Bender jetting for the Viper is center and mag cylinders 162.5 and the PTO cylinder 167.5. The pilot jets are 55. The air/fuel screw is set at 1 7/8th screws. None of the needles or needle jets need to be modified. The PTO cylinder can also be jetted to 162.5 like the others if you are experiencing an over-rich mixture.

I don't know what it's supposed to be for different altitudes I got that off another website. You could just call them (716) 941-5840. I don't know why they don't have any of their instructions on their website... :o|

Jetting should be determined by the quality of fuel available in your area. For those running blended,
oxygenated, or unknown fuel, 167.5 mj and 55 pj are required. Using premium pump gas of known good
quality allows for 165 mj and 52.5 pilots.

that is copy/paste from the bender install instructions. I am running 165/55s in mine. There were three of us that installed them this year on 04 VIpers and posted here; http://www.totallyamaha.net/forums/showthread.php?t=43758&highlight=bender+pipes

A good picture of my plug and tuning here; http://www.totallyamaha.net/forums/showthread.php?t=43315&highlight=bender+pipes

Of course you will have to compensate for altitude.

Are there any charts showing what is recommended? My friend rides at 2,000 feet at home and goes to BC and also West Yellowstone. He needs a chart to get him in the ballpark on jetting.
