I was reading about the motor mounts & torque limiter issues.
I do have electric start with 2 bolts in the motor mount.

There are 2 types of limiters out there from what I found.

Wish bone type

other type

Is there one better then the other? Also out of all the threads I read back to 05 I did not see where you can buy this stuff at. Anyone know?

Also where can you get the sled pro tool at. The blue one? Here is a pic.

Thanks Joe

dont use the bump stop style

buy a used srx limiter or buy the kit for it from the accessory catologue. it is a dog bone style.

the others wear down, bend over, and break off. the other will stay forever.

they cost about 40 new, or 20 is what a used one goes for.

Take a look Joe!

You still havn't learned how thorough I am have you Joe? The Viper you bought from me already has the SRX type motor stop in it, which, as stated above is the better type to use. As we discussed it also has the SRX front left motor mount (three bolt type) which you will need to remove and replace with a Viper (2 bolt style) in order to install your new electric start kit. Rich motorsports sells a simple clutch alignment tool that does the center to center and the offset for a very reasonable price.

I did remember what you said about the mount. I did some searching about this and found that after my electric start is in with the 2 bolt mount I can get this limiter and it will help the engine movement

Aaaarrrrrrggggghhhhh!

:o| :o| :o| :o| . Joe. Would you listen to me!!! Your sled has the exact mount that your just posted a photo of. ITS ALREADY INSTALLED!!!! The mount you need to remove is ON THE FRONT OF THE MOTOR where the electric start goes!!!!! Take a look and you will see.

lol.... You told me that when I install the electric kit that mount will be in the way. I will have to install the mount you sais you were going to send me. that mount will only have the 2 bolts instead of the 3 bolts. So to strengthen the mount I want to use the engine limiter so the bolt won't break.

About ready to give up

Joe. The motor stop that you posted a photo of is on the rear left hand side of the motor and it is already installed on your sled. The SRX 3 bolt motor mount is on the FRONT left hand side of the sled......that's the one that will have to be changed out to a viper 2 bolt mount so it does not interfere with your electric start install. Please understand that these are two completely different things. One is a motor stop/torque limiter and the other is a motor mount. You need to change the mount......and you already have the motor stop/torque limiter so don't buy one!!
