I need to remove kill switch

I need to replace my kill switch on my 01 SRX700. I got the lower cover off to where the switch will go up and down, but the button on the top won't clear that way. Is there a way to remove the top of button and drop it out from bottom, please help?

Yep, take a blade and pop the decal off and there's a screw under it. The top comes off and the switch drops out the bottom.
