Perhaps another trivial question but one I need to ask.... 99VMax 500C, does this sled have reed valves and should I remove, clean or replace?.. Sled has 4200 KM and never had the carbs off......
One other question, if I remove the carbs, how do I keep from getting air in the antifreeze cct.... The carbs are heated and I don't want a meltdown because there is now air in the system.......
Thanks

A couple of golf tees in the coolant lines, don't worry about air getting in there, unless you lose a ton of fluid.
Yamaha reeds are top notch quality, but it's good to pull them out and make sure they're not fraying or chipping. Clean the carbs while you're at it, eh!
