As someone who's had both sleds, the Exciter does not stand a chance against a Vmax4, especially since you just said that your 700sx beat your Exciter. I love the Exciters, wish I still had mine. But the Vmax4 with 150hp STOCK is going to kill the Exciter that has about 90hp stock. It would take some serious modification to get that Exciter up to a hp level that would be competitive with a Vmax4.
Now, maybe the Vmax4 was running on only two cylinders or maybe your Exciter is really dialed in. But we need to hear more details...

I would be amazed to see any exciter beat a xc700, or a fz670, let alone a Vmax4
the the exciter should lose to the sx700, and the sx700 should lose to the vmax4, the Xc700 -regardless of year-, the fz 670 should still take the exciter, but you did saythe exciter was piped and geared down. that would be close, and maybe an early wedge chassis xc700 if stock might pose a tough call for a piped exciter.
still, i would love to see a race between said machines.
