Did anyone see this shock in the latest SnowTech Magz called the CUSTOM AXIS shock? They claim it's for Pro-action rear skids(97-02) to achieve a ride like the RA skid. Is this just the shock or part of that RA rear skid kit we keep hearing about from Bender? Does anyone know what they want for it? I am curious about this or just putting in Ohlin rear shocks........what would be better????......hmmmm

Well, being no one knew, I called them. Yes it is the shock that is involved for the new RA conversion skid. The clip in Snow Tech was kind of confusing. He claimed the whole kit is about $1300. The rails and rear axel are the only things used from your old skid. There are two 10mm holes drilled through tunnel by your ankel area, otherwise the stock holes are used. It also drops about 15lbs. off the skid. He did say that the Vipers had too much transfer at first, but they reconfigured the limit strap hole pattern to cure this. He was a real nice guy. He claimed Tim Bender was still somewhat involved with ideas, etc. but was more involved with his sons snocross effort w/ Polaris. He also said the website should be done by this Friday and said it will have alot of cool features like sound clips for their pipes.
Journeymen, check out page 127 oct/nov snowtech for full picture...CP

Yep, saw that. The Custom Axis shock one was in the next issue on page 120. I guess when you read it, it is kind of confusing. They make it sound as if it would just go into your existing Pro-Action. Oh, well.
