Hey Guys

Just need a couple questions answered,
I had pipes on my sled and I have put the stock pipe back on to run for a while.

I now need some help setting the clutch back to stock setting,
I have the primary and secondary springs back in there.

factory weights were put back in ... but do I run the bolt off the aftermarkets on the stock springs as well?.... What else do I need for the weights?

What slot should the end of the secondary be but in on the base of the clutch... there are 4 numbered holes. and how many turns do i need to load it up.... 1/4 turn, 1/2 turn....?

Thanks :2strokes:

I think Turk is trying to remind you that you'll have to re-jet also, lol.

All the stock info is in the tech section, including what weight rivets it came with in the 8ek arms (weights). I think it would be easier to just put rivets back in rather than having to weigh bolts. I highly doubt the bolts in the other arms will be the right weight unless you get really lucky.

On the secondary, there is only 3 holes in the clutch and 4 holes in the helix. I would put it at 70 degrees, which is in the #1 hole on the clutch and the #6 hole on the helix. As far as turns to "load it up" you just need to go as far as it takes to get the ends of the helix ramps to set on the buttons, make sure the buttons are setting on the slope side of the ramps and not the back side! It can be done by yourself, but a lot easier to have someone start the nuts for you while your holding the spring down.

"EDIT": I looked up the rivet weight, they were 13.9 & 17.2

problem was my one of the reeds on my mag side cylinder was missing a huge chunk out of it I guess it was causing flooding to happent on that cylinder

any ideas of the possible causes of this?

should I be worried about any bearing damage in the bottom end or was it likely it was sucked in and spit out?

.....I did notice a few drops of water on the inside of the reeds.......

Reed Valve Replaced!!

I replaced the reed and the machine idles and runs alot better.

However I still have throttle hang at 4000rpms

it will stay running there after a WOT run on a stand for 30 seconds to a minute, then idle down back to 1700rpms.

What order do the stock rivets go on to the primary clutch weights,
the heavier one to the inside or outside????

As for the hi idle you are lean & need to turn out the fuel screws about 1/4-1/2 a turn.Heavier rivet goes inner & lighter in the tip but it would run better with running 4.5 gram rivets in both holes.
