I was told this would be the best place for information.

So my dad was cleaning out the basement at his dads house(His dad died about 1 year ago) Anyways, He pulls this old leather suitcase out from way under the stairs. Opens it up and finds a old late 60s early 70s Yamaha engine rebuild and accessory kit. This thing looks like it belongs in a museum! It is set up like it could have been used by a door to door sales man. In the suitcase their is a piston, set of pegs, a chrome mirror and all the gaskets and seals for a complete rebuild. AND ALL THE ITEMS ARE IN THE ORIGINAL PACKAGES MINT!!! The gaskets are from the Granprix Cycle CO. and the seals are from a company called TK. I have been searching the web but can not come up with a GCC. company nor any info on this wild kit. Anyone have any deep knowledge of Yamaha history? Want to know more about this kit. Thanks.

Looks like motorcycle parts. Wasn't anything from Yamaha as the gaskets would be in Yamaha packages. Maybe try the TY motorcycle Forums?

It's all bike stuff. Most of it looks like DT175 stuff. The 4 cylinder base gasket is probably not for a Yamaha. Really cool stuff!

Yamaha made some 4 cylinder motorcycles like the Maxim 650, 750, etc...
Could be some after market parts for them. Obviously, the timing chain ran up the middle between the #2 and #3 cylinders, ( not like on the side, like on newer models. )

I know that but he is claiming that this stuff is old. They had no 4 stroke 4 cyl. bikes in the DT era.

Honda had the original CB-750 4 cylinders back then,

or else maybe it's not even motorcycle parts.

could be a small 4 cylinder sports car like a Triumph, Healey, etc...

That is why I said what I did earlier. Then there was a reference to newer Yams but if it is old, it couldn't be Yamaha.
