I purchased a two-up seat for a 121" Vmax about a year and a half ago from a fellow TY member. Brand new still in the box. Well, after banging helmets with my daughter I'm finally putting it on. I got it all together tonight but I noticed that there aren't any handwarmers for the passenger. The switch and wiring is all there but no grips, just the rubber. Does anyone know about these? Are they the same ones that would go on a Venture? Would they have to be a two piece grip like the rubber ones on there now? I can't let my daughter have cold hands or she'll never want to ride.

Thanks,
Scott

the new venture 4 strokes use the same part as the old venture like my 97.
the grips have snaps that wrap around the handholds.

fwiw, the yamaha setup would be at least 120 dollars. heck, the switch from yami is 50 dollars, and each handwarmer is like near 40 dollars.

SPI makes a whole kit forlike 60-70 dollars, and apparently fits like stock.

let me find it for you.

I did digging to get my handwarnmers fixed on my 97 that is new to me this year.

turns out, the PO had the seat off for stripping and painting the metal parts, and hooked up the wires wrong.

hey, I just noticed your malibu, and you are in Oak Creek. I am a fellow inboarder myself.

The switch and resistor are bolted up and there are wires running under the seat with the connections already hooked up, just no hot grips! I may have to call a dealer (I hate to do that) to find out about the grips. Unless someone has a aftermarket idea.

Horkn: I'm not to far from you, the 'bu is for my summer passion barefoot waterskiing!

I am a wakeboarder myself, never tried footin'

btw, JR graham sells the SPI kit for 64.95

item # 622315, replaces yamaha OEM 8CR-W247G-00

it appears to ahve everything, switch, wiring, and 2 hand grip elements that attach with snaps it appears just like stock.

I am sure dennis kirk sells this as well, but I have the JR graham catalog in front of me at the moment.
