Just picked up a new Yami check this out. Bonus points if you can tell me what it is. Ill throw up some more pics later on. Few people excluded because they already know what it is LOL

Here is your +1 bonus point (1)

Scored this thing for $500. It's a 1990 was originally Titanium Grey but was painted black. So far i can gather its got near 147k miles on it and runs good drove it an hour home except it needs the power steering pump replaced, the guy gave me one to put in it to boot. There is also no radio in it and the front seats could use a cover, a few imperfections in the paint but hey what do you expect for $500?

Its also got a Police Grille, Yamaha Badges, Tokico Struts, Steel Braided brake lines, Borla Stainless Steel Exhaust, Upgraded Brakes, New Tires and a K&N.

I'm pretty excited on this deal, I got 2 SHO's now

too bad I had to work. LOL

is that one manual or auto? and which motor is it? they had 2 sizes of v6 SHO's then.

fwiw, the auto trannies do not have a good reputation for longevity.

I always liked all SHO's though, I just wished a manual v8 SHO was offered in the last rendition. Perhaps had that been an option the SHO might have been produced longer.

All 5 speeds were 3.0L which is what his 90 is but he also has a 93(I believe...correct me if Im wrong Rich) which is a Auto with 3.2L. If I can find a nice one this will be my next Yami, theyre fast and very reliable(typical for Yamaha though).

Yup my green one is a 94 its an ATX like he said and it's still holding together pretty well and lets just say i dont drive it to easy. Im going to have to take it easier on this MTX they like to eject Diff. pins if driven to hard, and its got a cable shift setup in it right now maybe throw a rod shifter in it later on.

These cars are pretty quick for being what 17 and 14 years old and being a 4 door sedan LOL I know the 94 still will hit the top speed of 143 mph.
 
lol, I always thought they were neat motor wise but boring as hell to look at. neat cars though :)
 
lol, thats pretty good :) I never really thought much of that era stang though. ford has a way of making something great (early mustang) and then slowy lose it.... finally coming back and making it nasty again in the last 5 years or so. vette was the same way, just didnt seem as bad though. guess the sho was like the frod version of the grand national gnx........that was the fastest car chevy had that year, better than the vette lol!! gotta love sleeper sedans ;)
