I have a white sec spring with a 51/43 helix. What rap should I start with, and where can I find specs on the spring? Any help THANKS.
P.S. I have a H.C set up in the primary.

wrap?? none, thats out a apex yamaha 4 stroke, stiffest spring yamaha makes, its not going to work on a srx. You need the green yamaha secondary spring for that helix.

Ok Just didnt know what it was, it was on the shelf -seemed pretty dam stiff. I am picking up the green spring tomorrow. We dont have much (any) snow now, and I want a good starting set up for when I go north in 2 weeks I will fine tune when I get there on the lake. I installed a 40-10 H.C. I have 5g heel 3.3 center and 5 tip. Some things I have read in these posts suggest 0 in the center what is your opinion on this or will I just have to test for my mid range rpm's. Thanks

with your helix your using you wont be able to run that much weight, the 43 finish will basicly load the engine via the secondary clutch, so I would think something more like 3.3 in each hole would be closer, youll never get to 8500rpm with what you have posted before.

I did have 3.3 tip and centre/ stock helix, sec spring and was over reving (8800) so I thought I would add tip weight to try to bring down the rpm at the same time I changed the helix/spring . I know I should only change one thing at a time but due to lack of snow I can't re-test. I read not to try to change rpm with sec spring, do you think my original prim. set up may work differently (rpm) with the 51/43 ang green spring?
