Viper wont run in powder. Gutted box hartman vented dash, Vented ram air plugs, Pre filters on all intakes but not air box. under hood air all plugged. In deep powder vents all plug motor cant get enough air. Still get some snow a
at the box to cause fouling.

My experience with two different Vipers in deep powder in Montana was that the ram air on the cowl vents was the primary offender. My solution, which worked great on both machines was some prefilters I bought from Mountain Performance. The ram air vent prefilters were kind of a pain to install, and I only installed two of the four dash vents, but it solved the deep snow bog problem for me.

2 flo-rites, ram air filters, air box prefilter, 1-1/2" hole drilled in each ram air duct to dump air right into the air box
all under air inlet to air box are duct taped off, to suck only outside cool air from ram air and flo-rites

LET ME KNOW WHAT CURES THE BOG!
just so you know I think alot of people have worked on this with no easy answer?

Make sure your air box seals to the hood well and check the twist on your secondary, deep snow and hill climbing with a 70 degree twist does not always work well. More twist like 90 degrees will help it back shift sooner and help keep your RPM's up in the power band.

Went out Saturday started out in about 6" new ended up in about 24-30". As soon as the snow came over the hood and plugged the ram airs It lost power. Pre filters get snow on them and then get wet and plug up. I'm going to try a larger surface area on the on the filters to see if I can get it more air. As long as the skis were in the air it ran great. Just choked up when ever the snow came over the hood. I opened the hood a few times to get it to clear up then it would run great for a few minutes.
TO MUCH FUN IN THAT MUCH SNOW!!!!!
