IN my srx its dead nut=s below the throttle cable on the carb rack. Hit the throttle and listen and look for it moving as you hit the throttle. Once you see it it shouldnt be a problem to dissconnect unless im missing something.
That is not my problem i know exactly where it is i just can't figure how to get the cable out of the oil pump it goes directly into it not to a lever on the outside of it. i am at a loss

I see now. ANy way to remove it from the throttle lever? Just leave as one piece and then remove it as a whole piece, like unbolt it from the case once you remove the whole engine maybe. Im just throwing this out there I had a 540 exciter or was it a 580 im sure someone could tell me when i was 18 but it ran perfect. <luckily, back then I didnt know how to change a tire, lol>
