I an trying to get the cases split on my 98 srx and the flywheel is being a pain in the a@#. I have a flywheel puller on it and it wont budge. I put the impact to it and it still wont come off. Anybody have any tips/tricks or experince with this.
try to hit the puller with a hammer a little

I wouldnt use a inpact on it either. But like he said all you need to do is hit it with a hammer and boom it will pop right off. And if you havnt done this before it will probably mak e you jump a bit![]()

like they say hit the end with a hammer also ive had to heat it a little with a propane torch
Heat it first then add pressure with the puller, it will come off...a trick is to spray it with wd-40 after you heat, but don't heat till it gets red or spray when red, yes it can ignite & will smoke a lot don't stand over it or in front of it when pressure is applied...cheers
Oh, another thing try if at all possible not to use a impact or whacking it...it is your crank after all, most are press fitted or are welded, it's just not good practice

Got it off today with a little heat and some wd-40. Popped pretty good when it finally let loose. Thanks for the tips guys.
