I just won the bid on the 81 SRX out of the pack of SRX's that Jeff Wurl was selling on ebay. It looks good low milage under 900 miles. Now I have a 79-80-81 440 srx. Just need a decent 78 and I will be happy for a while. Would have loved to got hold of Dean's 78. That was one sweet sled.

Nice, I thought that one would have sold for a little more than what it did.
Hey, how do you like your Digitron gauge?
So far I love mine! The quality of the hardware (probes, mounts, etc.) really surprised me.
Between my father-in-law and myself we have 5 Westech/Aeen guages 4 of which are broken!
Good luck with the sled!

Looks great but the seat is not correct for that model/year.

looks like the seat may have been recovered but other than that i think it is correct.... what makes you think it isnt?
Srx
The seat has been recovered and will be replaced. I already have the correct seat cover with YAMAHA screened on the side on order. Also the ski decals as they are a little beat up. The motor has been redone and 102 Comet clutch installed by Yamaha under warranty. Runs real good. Just need a little more snow to really test it out.
