speedo housing ???

I'm in the process of reinstalling my speedo housing on my 700MM. does this go back together totally clean? Anti-seize on the key?grease packed in housing. been awhile and I can't remember,my book doesn't say...... Thanks guys SOC

its a sealed bearing so usually it goes back to gether clean. Some people pull the seal off and tap a grease fitting into the cover, give it a couple shots of grease once in a while. theese bearings are pretty expensive and having new grease once in a while make em last a litlle longer.

Thanks , but it is not the bearing I'm asking about, it's all fine. When reinstalling the speedo housing is where my question is. Do I put it back on totally dry ? anti-seize lube the speedo key? pack alittle grease in the housing itself? Thanks,Soc

you can put a litle grease on the key but that's it,nothing else needed...
