I have a skid which i use for asphalt with 2 3/4" aluminum wheels and I would like to run 9 or 10 inch billet rear idler wheels. Can this be done? Also I want to modify the front A arm and rear scissor to make it lighter and lower the sled. Has anyone done this? Any info would be appreciated.

7.5" if you want to keep the skid on plane with rest of wheels, however you can get axle relocator brackets from mtn performance that simply move the axle up then you could run a 9 or 10 inch wheel. As far as fixing up the skidframe for the tar, the front shock is doing nothing on asphalt it can be eliminated and use a simple turn buckle in its place. i removed the rear transfer bars entirely from the skid and use the rear large shock to control the ride height, as you only want maybe 2 inchs at the most travel on the tar, actually locked out no trnsfer works quite well on asphalt.
if you were to mod the front arm, i would cut it and make it longer, make 2 new brackets that would bolt to the rails for the mounts, you want more pressure applied to the center of the skid.
