Does anyone know if a 1999 vmax sx 600 triple, has a long travel syspension? If it do will it be a direct bolt in into a 1998 srx 600?

No its not long travel, not until 2000 when they changed them to sxr's but yes long travel will bolt right up. Any 97 and up Vmax XT, XTC or Phazer 500 are all long travel though, the difference between them are just shock packages.

thanks for the info. So do i have to just swap out the shocks front and rear? or pro-action arms also?

Just the shocks, front and rear and both limiter straps. I think some SRX's came with shorter transfer rods, you can tell by looking at where the bottom of rod bolts to rail if its in the front hole its the short ones, if their is only one hole for it to bolt to its the long ones. I believe if their the short ones you'll have to replace them or maybe modify them.
