Remove handgrips

I want to remove the heated handgrip on a Phazer and replace the damaged handgrip on my Vmax4. Is there a good way to do this without damaging the handgrip?

None that I am aware of. The few times we have needed to do this in the past usually destroys the old grip.

Depending on the adhesive, you might be able to heat the bars up and hope the adhesive gives before the grips melt....

I have did this once before with success on my 00 SRX, (remove the rivit 1st if yours has one) I used a heat gun and gently kept working back and forth untill it came free. Dont get to crazy twisting it otherwise you may damage the heater elemement inside.

Thanks for the good advice. I will try the heat gun method. Nothing to lose, the Phazer is a parts sled anyways.
