I was just wondering would a yamaha triple motor fit in a 04 Polaris? or would you have to do some adjustments? if so would someone let me know asap! thinking about buying one if this is possible!

It would be easier to put a polaris xcr800 in. HTG makes the pipes and motor plate to do it. I believe they make 172hp with their pipes and heads and the sled only weighs a hair over 500lbs = rocket or crazy climber.

It sounds like that is the best answer.

Shortstop, I don't know where you found that clip....but I laugh every time I see rich bite it ! I will give him credit on one thing though. He hangs on till the bars hit the road!

Same here, it cracks me up big time....

But I actually give him less credit for hanging on. A smarter person with no gear on would have jumped off earlier. Then again, a smarter person would be either wearing gear, or not gassed it with cold tires, and not a straight line.

alright thanks guys! i wanted to try the yamaha triple but i dont want to do any fabricating! does anyone know anywhere i can find a XCR800 motor for a reasonable price?

soon enough mine will be the same! when i get it done ill share ir with you guys! thanx for eveything y'all! really lookin forward to having a triple motor under the hood of my RMK!

I have a complete set up out of a crashed xcr, but I'm saving it to do my own. I've seen them go for $2000 on snow west(with clutch, carbs, air box, CDI & wire harness), but if you look in areas like Minnesota, you can pick up the entire sled for that. Use what you need, then part the rest out. Last I checked the pipes and motor plate were about $1000. Not exactly cheap, but not too bad after you sell the engine out of the chassis your using, and part out the donor sled. On the plus side, you will have monster power thats reliable without dropping $9000 on a new sled.
