My brother in law gave me some steel skis out of his garage for my son's Phazer. He's not sure what they came off, as he got them in a box of extra parts years ago. They look identical to the Phazer skis at first look. However, the rubber mounting pad area is a little different, and the carbides attach with only three studs instead of four like the Phazer. Are these off an old Exciter maybe? There are no carbides and I need to know what to order. Thanks!

the diff between ex skis and pz skis was the cut out for the steering links, the pz was in the rear and the ex was in the front. 3 and 4 bolt runners is just the difference in the years, early ones had 3 and later had 4 but they still line up the 3 bolt will fit the 4 bolt they just skipped one.

The phazer has 4 bolts holding the carbide ad Exciter has 3 bolts. I run both on my Exciter.

Looking at carbide charts it looks like all year PZII's 84 on up used four studs and Exciters used either three or four depending on year. Older used three and later went to four. The skis seem to fit ok, I'll just have to order carbides for an older model... Thanks.
