I put this in the tech questions but didn't get any response so I'll try here.I've seen on here where the 00-02 heads will slightly raise the compression on the 98-99 engine and I'd like to ask someone that has put a set on if they run into any problems.I know that right now if I get into a tight spot with gas I can get away with running regular as long as I keep the throttle thumb under control until I get to a station that sells supreme to top up with plus I always carry octane boost with me as well.The octane boost issue is another topic all together so I wont get into that plus it's been covered numerous times so I'll just ask the question here that if I put these 00-02 heads on will I have to be more conscientious of the quality of fuel I run even on a stock engine?There are times when away on a trip that certain spots only have access to regular gas so if I'm going to limit myself as to where I can ride then I may just stay with the stock heads.I'm only considering this head change as a possibility to get a hp and still look stock and am looking for pros and cons.Thanks

More compression REQUIRES better gas and you are only talking about peanuts in terms of performance. If you don't want to limit your riding area & habits why would you even consider it for 1-2 horse power. Plus you'd have to buy the heads anyway. For slightly more $$ you could have your cylinders lightly ported & your current heads cut & rechambered by MRVIPER700. By doing this you would see a more respectable gain in HP (10-15 probably) and you could still get away with your current habits in terms of gas availability.
