Are there any oil gooroo's out there?
I currently run Legend zx2r injector oil ($43/4L) it's a low ash powervalve formula. It is not sold in town so that means ordering from royal which takes 2-3 days. When I ask most people what they are useing I'm told ESSO semi-synthetic outboard moter oil.($34/ 12L) It too is a low ash formula, and you can get it at any ESSO station. Does anyone out there have educated input. Help please!

I have been running ipone full synthetic in my viper so far so good low smoke and strawberry scented and keeps the power valves nice and clean thats just my opinion.

Glad you brought this topic up, I've used zx2r in my waverunner for the past 2 summers-seems to work well but smokes a little bit more than Klotz (which I run in both my SRX's) could be a richer oil pump setting? Anyway, how do your power valves look- do you clean them each season or no need to do them that frequently? Anyone tried Blue Marble?

I just changed to zx2r in my Viper this year . I used Yamalube the first 3 years and had to clean the PV's at 500 miles . Last year I tried Amsoil Interceptor and at 250 miles didn't think I was going to get them out . So now I'm trying the zx2r to see how it works . Time will tell .

Viper injection oil

The only real reason behind changing oil is to find something a little more readily availible in remote areas. I in a small nothern ON town where shopping is limited. The other reason is the price of the zx2r oil $44 / 4L is a little pricey, however an engin job would cost a lot more. I would hate to have to do an engin job just because I skimped out with cheap oil. I am doing some oil homework and will try to post what I find. :2strokes:

Tried Yama lube, Not so good for power valves, BRP Ski doo semi synthetic,
Is better, I have been running MAXIMA synthetic 2 stroke, Clean and works the best so far.
