carb slides


that srx with the widend front end looks nasty! how wide is it and did you do the work or have someone do it for you. I think imay do that to mine this summer.
 
If you're talking about roundslides, the back side (motor side) of the slide should be about flush with the bore of the carb when the throttle is opened up.

total of 6 inches. did mine myself , started with 2.5 inch thick wall tube had a friend turn the outside to match my frame OD then turn 2.5 inch on each end to match the frame ID check out www.vintagevmax.com for info on wide kits
Chucks info on this mod is great couldn't have done it without him , he even brought his vmax to the elkland Pa. show so I could see how his was done
