Here's the big question. My 02 Viper is at about 8k Miles. I have some money into it now and runs great. I love the sled, but I need some more. I want to add an M10, handle bar raiser and a little more HP, or dump it for a 4 stroke.....hope that isn't considered swearing!
I have been watching E-bay for suspension and I have no idea what to look for. What about the front suspension? Hp is a no brainer from SPL, I would use the trail porting, pipes and V-Force, clutching as per SPL. Any suggestions?

:wel: A fellow canadian. I have been asking many of the same questions you have. Use the search method just type in " Skids" or " M10" " Suspension" and it will kick you tonnes of info.... ALL of my questions where pretty much answered this way ! I thought about a 4-stroke as well but big money to get more power and lets face it :2strokes: LOL ! Enjoy this forum it is awesome !

When I put an M-10 skid into my SX it became a "new" sled to me again. I have the luxury of riding with the local Yamaha dealer guys and get to try the new demo sleds. My SX still looks like new, starts first pull and I have a lot of mods done to my SX that have made it feel like a "tight fitting glove" and I honestly don't mind getting back on it after testing the new 4 strokes. I have made the decision to spend my money elsewhere ( new Sportster last summer...new Kodiak a couple years before that...).

I have shock extensions for my front Ohlins, V-force3 reeds to replace the stock (that were starting to crack at the stoppers),I have had no issues with the V-force, but others say they are not good and high priced. Another effective mod if your looking for some top end would be to have your inner sheave on the primary machined for overdrive. I have plans for pipes next year.
