LIFE MEMBER ONLY ONCE!!!
noticed a broken bolt, actually still piece left inside the threaded end of the crossmember that holds the rails together up front where the front shock and limiters tie on to.Tried re drilling and tap,but no good.Had to remove the whole thing.Had a spare one from the old suspension anyways. When I finally released shock and took limiters off,I could spread the rails some and pop the piece out.The 2 flat flats that run aside it and bolt in the rails where broken off to.That is because of all the pressure put on it with the shock back and forth I guess. So the front end was ready to blow apart if it weren't for the notch on each end that go against the inside of rails.Noy to good, good thing I noticed this last night.Up to 2:30 am getting everything back...tired now. Here is a pic of what I am talking about, not actuall but from Yamaha parts fiche:

The 98s did not have the cutouts that slip over the inside of the rails. So when the flatbar ears break the support will turn and rub a nice trench on the inside of your track.Than the crying starts!Good heads up.

just used a spare one I had from the old SRX skid.I stripped the old skid down and have a lot of extra parts just in case.
