I only got 79 MPH in 660' with my srx but I still took first. Go figure. I need to figure this thing out. Anyone run a srx with HH have a good setup? From clutches to gearing? Next race is 1000'. HELP!!!!!

Were you cleaning out the pipes before you ran? If not, a lot of your problem could have been that the pipes were cold.
Before you run, put the back of the sled up on a jackstand and just hold the throttle wide open for half a second. Do that 3 or 4 times before each run and you should be good to go.
If you let a 2-stroke sit and idle for a bit, the pipes will cool off and it will take a little while before the pipes heat up again and it runs right.

Maddog what gearing did you end up running?
I ran a 1.90 ratio.
20/38 with a 68 link chain.
What should he see for mph in 1000'?

IN 660 ON ICE I THINK WITH MY 8BU SET-UP WITH MY 2000 SRX I RAN 97 mph. NOT A DIG BUD, SOUNDS LIKE YOU MIGHT HAVE SOME ISSUES GOING ON. 3:16 (yammie tony)
Ya, I just can't figure it out. All I can say is setup. Gearing seems to be an issue. Motor is tight, PV's are perfect, runs real good just won't go. I had hookup issues for the first 200 feet. Then it would pull hard.

WELL YA JUST ANSWERED YOUR WHOLE PROBLEM HERE. IN 660 F.T. 200 OF IT YOU HAD HOOK UP ISSUES ? SO YOUR BASISLY SAYING YOU WERE SPINING. WELL THROW THAT OUT THE WINDOW, AND YOU RAN ON A 460 F.T.
