Yesterday I took my Girlfriend and her Sister out for a little ride. The girlfriend rides here old '87 (i think) Exciter; her sister took my '97 XTC and I hopped on my stepson's '76 GS300. After the ride I looked back and laughted. Never thought much about it.....but we just took a little 20 mile spin on sleds that span 32 years of yamaha history

Nice pic. I guess they had to wait for you sometimes!?

Is it just me or the '76 is missing the running boards?

Cool

Nope, they are just hard to see. Stock those were painted a dull grey in those days. I think it is blending in with the snow.

Very cool seeing the differances in the 30 year span.
Oh yeah, that Exciter is a 87 based on graphics that I see.

I would like to get my hands on one again for a project powder sled!!!

Had a new 87-89-91-93sx Exciters before I went with the Vmax series.
My favorite was the 87 for powder & boondocking, the SX was the quickest one though.

Both the ladies are novice riders. so I was in the lead the whole time. with so little snow here in central minnesota, we stuck to the lakes anyway. I kinda forgot how fun it was to bomb around on the ol one lunger.

Hi Monty.....Just thought I would drop a note.....Your old
74 TL433F has finally made it home from being "abandoned'
in ThunderBay , Jul 06....Now sitting inside for a change.
RON

Nice hearing from you Ron. That ol TL shure took its time getting "home" !
Keep your eyes open for any ET410 top ends and exhausts for me. Heard the long track sleds were popular up there in the great white north

Take Care
Monty
