Friend of mine just picked up a 03 rx1 that had been rode hard. 200 miles and he had to do lots of fixing but did not spend much. Runs great and rides great also. His brother just sold his 05 RX1 with 2000 miles and never had a problem. 115 no problem stone stock. He just bought a 08 Attack and he says it make the other one feel slow. Havent had it up in the big woods yet. I also rode a friend Vector 3 cylinder and it was very smooth and fast. I just cant justify that kinda cash for one or two rides a year.

I had a RX1 (key word had) and can not recommend one to you. Apex, Nytro, etc are all superior sleds.

There is nothing wrong with the RX1's. I have had and still do have an 05 Warrior. They make a nice trail sled. If 85% and up of your riding is trail go for one. Look for a 05 if possible. The 05's are by far the best year of the RX1's. Apex's and attacks are also nice. I won't ever buy one however. If you should ever foul a plug trailside......good luck. It takes an engineer to figure out how to get to them. I think the best bang for the buck right now is the 06 Nytros. Great sled, fox floats, three cylinder, and so on. With a little clutch work these sleds rip.

Also have a 98 srx 600 and looking for a newer sled, All I can so is ride em, I demo'ed new sleds last weekend. Changed mind after riding, thought I would like the new FX Nytro but ended up liking the apex gt long track the best, we rode rough conditions so that was a big factor, but the apex motor really impressed me compared to the rest, just my two cents

I had a 06 Apex GT and was not impressed, good thing i kept my Viper because I sold the Apex after 2 years and went back to old school. The Apex is way to heavy for the way I ride IMO.
