does the gas/oil mixing happen in the fuel pump? i have an over zealous oil injector and rather than spend the money to replace the pump, im disabling it and going premix with the sled. looking at the system, it would appear that i need to remove the check-valved oil line from the fuel pump and cap off the open port. is this correct? i think ill leave the bad pump in place after i drain the oil tank. would this cause any problems down the road?
thanks

Yes it gets mixed in the F/P,but why not try to fix the problem first, there's
some things you can do to check it out..
pre-mixing on the trail is a PITA....

ive checked several settings already and they all appear to be in factory specs. its using twice the oil it should and from what i've read on this forum, the pump fails into a high-flow mode, so im guessing it would need to be replaced. this sled is being given to my step son because i have an 03 rx-1 and an 06 attak to maintain. i really don't want to put any money into it. i've converted my '99 ls2000 boat to premix due to the rash of oil injection failures, so it's no big deal to have another pre-mixer in the family

Yes when bad(rare)they go to full flow, you could find a good used one on the site here for cheap i'm sure, but to each is his own, good luck!!!!!
