I was informed we aquired a spring testing tool for our machine presses where I work. My buddy in the machine shop (who rides Yammie) and I want to test some of our primary YXR clutch springs on it. Does anybody know the measurements for the preload distance and the total shift distance for testing? I looked on the tech pages and didn't see anything ,unless I over looked it. I want to test my Heavy Hitter spring too. This is the tall spring as used in Vipers and SRX's.
thanks

Yes I looked at that page. Where did you see the 33mm for total force? I need to know how tall the spring is at preload....with cover on clutch, but clutch at idle.....and how tall the spring is totally compressed at WOT.
I did see someone post that the black Heavy Hitter spring they give you with the Viper kit is 150lbs/300lbs. That would equate to 68KG/136KG.

When you look at different manufacturers springs you see they all don't test them at the same height. A common number is 2 1/2" and 1 1/4". Those numbers can be anything you want to compare your own springs against themselves.
