I purchased some heavy hitters for my stock engine / bender silencer combo. I'm shooting for top speed .I currently shift out my 23/38 gearing & plan on trying23/37 &or 24/37 . what are the torque #'s for this engine &is8450rpm my hp # to shoot for? I live on a lake & looking for big MPH!
torq is 8100rpm, max hp is 8500rpm.

Should I clutch at all to 8100 rpm ? or should I only aim for the 8500rpm? my feelings on this are in my case w/ tall gearing & near stock power that I should clutch closer to peak torque untill I get going (90 mph) then move towards 8500.
