i just took out my pipes to have acces to the chaincase and saw that the cyl 3 pipe doughnut close to the cly was leaking about 2inches, i just changed the 3 dougnuts 1300miles ago is that normal? also how mutch power was i loosing because of this?
That's not normal, my sled had well over 6000 km on it before they were changed, (they were worn pretty bad by then though). Check your engine for vibrations and check also your motor mounts, they might be worn. I don't know how much power you lose but I think you lose some, the sled "felt better" after I replaced them.
Hope this helps.

I would say that 2 inches is a big hole. Was it super loud, must of been ear piercing with that kind of leak. Look and make sure you have all the bigger springs that hold the pipes in place also make sure that they arnt all stretched out.

i meant there was about 2inches where you could see light exhaust dust, there was no hole lol, i keep my sled in tip top shape, im even actually surprised i didnt catch this before lol, as i pass my fingers on every exhaust joint aftwer every run! im just trying hard to get my sled to perform the best it can every horsepower counts lol
